The LurkChain MCP server
One endpoint gives your assistant read-only access to wallets, tokens, trades and perps on seven chains. Here is how to connect it, what each tool does, and what it costs.
Overview
LurkChain is a remote MCP server. You connect it to your assistant once. After that, whenever a question needs on-chain data, the assistant calls a LurkChain tool, gets numbers back with their sources, and writes the answer for you.
The server only reads public chain data. It never asks for a private key, a seed phrase or a signature, so nothing you connect can move funds.

What an answer looks like
who's selling $KITE right now?
3 tracked holders have sold all their $KITE since 14:00 UTC. 61 of 64 still hold. Sells were 46% of trades in the last hour, slightly fewer than buys.
The format every answer arrives in: the figures, the tools that produced them, and what the question cost.
Quickstart
Three steps. Most people are done in about a minute.
The same URL works in every assistant.
As a connector, or in a config file for coding tools.
Approve read-only access, then ask in plain words.
Endpoint
https://mcp.lurkchain.com/mcpExample: Claude Code
Run this in a terminal. Add --scope user to load LurkChain in every project.
claude mcp add --transport http lurkchain https://mcp.lurkchain.com/mcp
Then type /mcp inside Claude Code, pick lurkchain and choose Authenticate. Approve in the browser window that opens.
First questions to try
Connect your assistant
Chat apps add LurkChain as a connector in their settings. Coding tools read a config file. Each guide has the exact steps and a snippet to copy.
Config files
Most config-file clients use the shape below. The key names differ a little: Cursor uses url, Gemini CLI uses httpUrl, Windsurf uses serverUrl, and VS Code uses servers with "type": "http".
{
"mcpServers": {
"lurkchain": {
"url": "https://mcp.lurkchain.com/mcp"
}
}
}
A client that only runs local servers can still connect through a small bridge such as mcp-remote. See any other MCP client.
Authentication
The MCP server signs you in with OAuth. There is no API key to copy or paste.
- The first time your assistant calls a LurkChain tool, it opens a LurkChain sign-in page in your browser.
- You sign in and approve read-only access for that assistant.
- The assistant keeps the token and renews it on its own. You will not be asked again unless you sign out or remove the connector.
Each assistant gets its own approval, so removing one does not affect the others. To revoke access, remove the connector in your assistant, or revoke it under connected assistants in the app.
LurkChain only reads public chain data. It will never ask for a private key, a seed phrase or a transaction signature. If anything claiming to be LurkChain asks for one, it is not us.
Calling from your own code? The REST API uses a bearer key instead.
Credits and billing
Usage is counted in data calls. A normal lookup is one call. Bigger reports cost more: a wallet report is 4 calls and a full trader profile is 10. The cost of each tool is listed in the tools reference.
Every answer ends with what it cost and what you have left. LurkChain adds this to each tool result, so your assistant can repeat it to you:
"meta": {
"cost": 4,
"balance": 4492,
"sources": ["raydium", "pump.fun"]
}
To check your balance without spending anything, ask your assistant how many LurkChain calls you have left. It uses lurkchain_balance, which is free. Calls that fail with an error are not charged.

Tools reference
The 24 most used of about 80 tools, grouped by what they look at. Every tool takes plain parameters and returns JSON with a meta block for cost and sources. Chain keys are solana, ethereum, base, bnb, arbitrum, hyperliquid and monad.
The list your assistant sees after sign-in can differ from this page. Tools are added and re-priced from time to time, and some only cover certain chains. Your assistant always gets the current list from the server.
Errors
When a call cannot be answered, the tool returns an error result with a code and a plain message. Your assistant reads it and usually tells you what to do. Failed calls are not charged.
| Code | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
unauthorized | Sign-in is missing or has expired. | Reconnect, or authenticate again from your assistant. |
insufficient_credits | Your balance is lower than the call's cost. | Change plan, or wait for next month's calls. |
invalid_params | A parameter is missing or malformed. | The message names the field. |
not_found | The token, pool or wallet is not indexed. | Check the chain and the address. |
rate_limited | Too many calls in a short time. | Wait the seconds in retry_after. |
source_unavailable | An upstream source did not answer. | Try again shortly. |
{
"error": {
"code": "insufficient_credits",
"message": "This call costs 4 calls and your balance is 2.",
"balance": 2
}
}
Limits
Limits keep the service fast for everyone. They apply per account, across every key and every connected assistant.
- Calls per minute
- 60 per account, across all connected assistants
- Calls at once
- 5 in flight per account
- Rows per call
- Up to 200 holders or 300 trades. Larger lists come in pages with a
cursor. - Trade history
- Recent trades for every indexed pool. Deeper history varies by chain and source.
- Freshness
- Most data is seconds to a minute behind the chain. Each result says when it was read.
